It’s a real shame their isn’t any pics of Pheonix club on here Dave ,my ma and pa used to run it Terry and Pam Kent some of the biggest acts at the time played there,I bet you played there I remember seeing you a lot later when my ma and pa took over Springhead pub and made it into a successful music pub.x

My dad used to sing this to us as children. He made up his own version for tbe last verse. I once was good looking but look at me now out in the barnyard a milkin the cow. Do you know what Dave? you were born 20 years too late mate. Your voice and style lends itself to an era of 'back in the day' and there is nowt wrong with that! Im a musician and a singer too and that is what a lot of people have said to me.With the saturation of so many different genres nowadays a lot of 'pure talent' just gets lost and brushed aside. There was once a time (50's and 60's) when you could go into a studio for 1 day,cut a single,bung it to a few DJ's and Bob's your uncle you're all over the radio and thus securing yourself a place in the annals of music. Really hard to get famous now. I tried hard to do it for 20 years writing and playing music,sending stuff off to record labels etc...but i'm still cleaning bloody windows to pay the bills haha! Am i bitter? No! But i'm working on it! lol You got a great voice mate :)
